Help! All I want to do is buy something from Amazon

Good afternoon all, please help as I am currently going round and round in circles trying to sort this.
Earlier this week I bought a few books from Amazon (or so I thought)... I received an email stating I need to revise my payment method.
I have been a customer of Amazon for many years and have used this said debit card since it was issued last year with no problems.
I checked card details, deleted card and reinstated it on my amazon account but I still receive the same email.
They have now said my Prime account will be suspended as the subscription is due.
I have spoken to both Amazon customer service and Lloyds customer service.
They both blame each other.
Lloyds have checked my card and account. There are no outstanding transactions and no payments have been declined or blocked.
My personal details are correct with both companies.
My debit card is in date.
I have funds in my account.
Its getting extremely frustrating, can anyone please shed some light on this.

Is your phone number to date with Amazon? I was recently promoted to update it as they are bringing in new checks

Mmm odd.Have you tried another card? Are you ordering a prime item, if so that could be the problem as you’ve said your subscription is due?
