We spend a lot of time moaning about lack of stock, high prices, shrinkflation and more.
However, if you were handing out awards to stores, which ones would get your Gold, Silver and Bronze awards ?
Gold Award would go to Milk & More. Free delivery, no minimum order, arrives before 0700 every time. You can order up to 9pm the night before and deliveries come three times a week if you want. You can do regular orders and get fruit and veg boxes from Wholegood which supplies Ocado and restaurants. Lots of organic food. Quite a few offers. Suppliers include River Cottage, Island Bakery, Netherend Farm, Tom Parker.
Silver Award would go to Iceland. Good for lunchbox stuff, cheeses, Viva chocolate and strawberry milk, Arla protein yogurts. Tubs of sandwich fillers have less gunk than Sainsbury's. Five Fyffes premium bananas for £1. Capri-Sun juice drinks often on offer. Zillions of offers in fact. Bartons piccalilli is ace. Aberdeen Angus quarter and half pounders without fillers £4. Proper Swedish meatballs. Some stores have organic eggs and Yeo Valley organic yogurts. Some wild frozen fish. Deliveries occasionally late.
Bronze Award to ASDA. Deliveries usually on time. Friendly drivers. Local store spacious and clean. No organic poultry although some stores do this. Good selection of organic fruit and veg at reasonable prices and great quality. Good selection of Polish food including sauerkraut, gherkins and Lisner herrings, Tymbark juices, Oshee vitamin waters, cheap herbs, nice mustards, cheaper butter and kefir. Lots of offers. Very good Parma ham. Gino D'Acampo range includes some organic. Cheap growing herbs. Build your own pizza counter in store. George clothes range for cheap basics. Egyptian cotton but well-priced bedlinen.
Agree with me ? Disagree ? Did I miss good stuff ?

TGTG gets Gold in my book. Once you work out what suits, it works very well.
Silver to Olio for sharing the stuff I can't use.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
