Peroxide contact lenses solution.. shortage/discontinued ?
borderline

I can't seem to find Peroxide contact lens solution .. I used to get Boots own brand or AoSept .. I contacted Boots and told me they have been discontinued .. and to get the other solutions (non peroxide)
How could they be discontinued ? this cleaning system is better than the rubbing method.
Does anyone know what's going on?

Peroxide is normally Hydrogen Peroxide which is otherwise known as bleach.
There are plenty that still sell 3% bleach solutions to clean lenses but others are have reacted to public opinion of putting bleach in their eyes.0 -
I’ve got the same problem. Specsavers are discontinuing their peroxide lens solution. What is going on. If I change to vision express will they then stop supplying peroxide solute?0

There has also been a gap in the availability of hydrogen peroxide mouthwash (Peroxyl is the Colgate brand), not sure if it's related but the mouthwash has only recently come back into stock after a gap of several months.
Amazon seem to have a number of peroxide contact lens solutions if that's an option - not sure how they compare price wise though1 -
yes, I bought another brand on Amazon, as there is no other choice.. price wise is fine, It's just that I don't like to buy these sort of things on Amazon in case they aren't the real thing.Emmia said:
