Tissue paper under minced beef in sealed tray!

Hi. Anyone know why Morrison's supermarket butchers counter minced beef has tissue paper under it at bottom of tray? Because I been having problems trying to remove tissue paper as it falls into small pieces as I remove it, it's almost impossible to be certain it's all been removed. Such a faff, why do they have to put in tray?

If it's just paper from the butchers counter it's just a way to weigh out the amount whilst keeping the scales clean and avoid risk of accusations of cross contamination.adeo said:Hi. Prepacked tends to be thinker material which is more about absorbing leakage to avoid unsightly interstitial fluid leaking into the package3
