Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Chilly and blowy start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was braised pork loins, LO yorkshires, veg and gravy. Tonight clear up of the fridge so will be sausage and mushroom fritatta, hot new pots, pork pie (menfolk), side salad, coleslaw etc.
Yesterday work was horrendous, the tech truly let me down and is being worked on, the Techs and engineers have no idea what's gone wrong but the most important part of he system isn't working and they can't get it back - so we'll see what today brings! Fortunately there are a few other things I can get on with but not the important stuff I should be doingl
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope you have a better day.
After a glorious, but chilly, day yesterday it's back to rain again. Washing all dried outside and put away, didn't even need airing.
I had a bit of a runny nose yesterday afternoon and didn't really feel like going for a swim but got there and it was great, really enjoyed it. 5 miles down, 17 to go!
Hope the poorlies are recovering and everyone has a good day. Take care. XX

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope you have a better day today at work. It's dry here but seems cold - yesterday was sunny and dry, but with a bitter wind. Dh was talking to his Db in the south west last night, he had been out in the garden and had to take his jumper off! None of that here I'm afraid, we're piling jumpers on!I went into Durham yesterday, sorted stuff out at the bank, but didn't stay long. Called at a shopping centre on the way home instead. I didn't buy anything except some bread and coffee but had a look round in M&S.I'm meeting a friend this afternoon for coffee, and Dd is bringing the children after school, it's dgs's birthday today, and we'll go to the quiz tonight. You're busy at home Ruby, I'm sure it'll look lovely when it's done.Taff, hope your ankle gets better soon.Hope everyone has as good a day as they can today, take care folks.13

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Hope today is a better one for you.
We seemed to have a similar day to you SCARLET, blue sky and sun but a bitterly cold wind blowing. Today promises to be marginally better before the heatwave hits tomorrow!
I survived my annual review unscathed yesterday with the lovely male nurse practitioner going through, and commenting on, every one of my blood results. Seemingly I passed with flying colours! So it's keep on taking all the tablets but at least no more have been added!
I am meeting my DF for late lunch today, we are treating ourselves to the carvery again. I miss our regular Tuesday coffee 'n lunch meet ups with BFF but she is not up to it any more. On the phone she just sounds her normal self but is increasingly forgetful of names and is unsteady on her feet.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better and MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning folks.Yesterday I got mired down doing financial stuff again so I only got as far as my front door. Brilliantly blue skies but extremely chilly. Someone rang from my surgery to arrange an appointment with the physio for next week. 🎉 I had the last of my homemade soup and the final portion of lasagna, both very tasty. If the promised rain holds off I'd like to do a little light shopping, we'll see.Keep going Camelot - all for a great cause. 🏊♀️
TA - I'm glad that everything worked for you.Funnily enough I don't like using the touchpad and have always disabled it on my laptop.Hugs to those with sore fingers, poorlie bones, sad hearts and assorted aches and pains.Happy Tuesday to all.12 -

Morning all
Pouring with rain here and very cold, yesterday was glorious we were walking along in T shirts and today winter 🥶 is back !
Three people coming today and we were going to a local farm to hopefully watch the lambing but we have had to cancel due to the rain we will go bowling and get some lunch out instead.
Dinner tonight is pork chops with mushroom risotto and some green veg. I have put a wash on this morning which will have to stay indoors to dry.
TA so sad to hear of your friend xxx
Camelot what is the swim challenge ? Sounds interesting xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Hi everyone,
Just a quick one from me as I am off to the dentist in a minute for a two hour appointment. It's part necessary, part vanity, one of my crowns needs replacing, I've never been totally happy with it and I have another two teeth away from which the gum is receding and leaving a black line which the dentist says is the metal leaching from the centre of the crown so they are being replaced by ones with no metal in and at the same time he's going to replace the tooth in the middle which is my own but showing definite signs of wear and tear, Not a cheap job but after years of not spending money on myself I've decided I'm worth it. it's no more than Steve spends on his golf club membership every year. Hopefully in a couple of weeks time I won't be ashamed of my smile.
Have a good day.13 -
Snoozer - I had the same replacements done about 18 months ago. Front crowns with awful black lines. The originals were at least 30 years old. It was all worth the expense, you'll be delighted. I hope all goes well.11

Morning all Haven't been on for a couple of days as DD2 and DGS were here as well as her dog who mine tolerates but not her best friend . They will be back next week to drop the dog and stay for a few days as they are off to Greece for a week will be good for SIL as he is super busy practicing for the coronation . The weather was lovely yesterday afternoon but we are back to the usual now with rain and cold wind . Washing day but it will go on the airers ,I need to go with DH tonight to collect his car from the garage after a service new brake pads and discs on the front and new clutch still to replace it would be expensive as we have the ULEZ area expanding to us in August and it is compliant DH only has 3 more years left until retirement then we will go down to one car . Tonights dinner is pie n mash as is the norm for a tuesday
Taff did you go to the Ideal Home Show we have tickets for Saturday is it worth the trip ?
Snoozer Good luck at the dentist

Morning..Cold, windy and wet here after yesterdays sunshine. Cut the grass yesterday and did a bit of home compost shifting, it wasn't quite ready but it'll finish on the ground in the next couple of weeks. My new wheelbarrow works a treat and I resisted buying anything else while I was in there picking it up. It's only because I didn't have a wander, if I had...there'd be a lot more frou frou nails, screws and tools in the house right now...I lie, I bought some of the longest bamboo poles. And I really must sow the tomatoes today. We're out tonight for a comedy show at the local arts center so hopefully that'll be good, the seats are very small though and neither of us are short. And that's todays events....Bella, difficult to say. I would have a look at the list of exhibitors and see if they appeal. I found it a bit rubbish to be honest but there was practically nothing that interested me there [except for the food, the show gardens - very small, the two houses - queues too long for me to wait in one of them,] and I found it really overpriced. There were a few wooden garden furniture stalls [All show furniture must go! order here for delivery! ] , the information hub was good though, lots of people to talk to about things, but the stalls upstairs were pants really, I didn't really see any of what I would think of as innovative stalls for houses there. Obviously there were a few, but for me, I won't bother again.TA, what a great idea to have a cream tea delivered, or there may be a restaurant that does take out of your favourites...see her while you can if she's up to it, and up for it...Ruby, hope the lambing is available
camelot, well done for the willpower. Izzy, you too, you have come very far. Scarlet, enjoy the quiz! snoozer, happy new teeth! Take care all the less than a hundred percenters, take all all the hundred percenters too [ how do you do it I must inquire?
