They have made contact with me claiming to be able on my behalf if authorised, refund me some Tax back from HMRC

Please advise if this is a legitimate site.

Legitimate, perhaps. Necessary, no. They will skim a hefty percentage off any refund, if you believe you are due a refund claim directly.

Be very careful with this type of firm to check what they may attempt to claim on your behalf. There are rule changes afoot in that industry due to many dodgy operators:

Cold contact of potential clients is a hallmark of them.

Why would you ever use such a service rather than claim directly yourself?, if you believe you are owed a refund?
Google throws up nothing for this domain name.

Hi, yes, if you think you are owed a refund you can just login to your HMRC personal tax record online. You don't need any company to do it for you because, as others have said, they'll take a percentage.

Even if you don't think you are owed anything, you can login to your personal HMRC account and check it online. If you have any queries at all or if you think you have overpaid (maybe even underpaid?) any tax, you can message HMRC from that site.

For the past two years at the start of the financial year HMRC allocated the wrong code for my tax (my income was too low to be taxed) and each time I messaged them and received a refund. Only small but every little helps. . .

It takes about five minutes to do and costs you nothing.

If you haven't already registered for your own HMRC account, you can do so via the following link -

It's well worth doing. HMRC doesn't always get everything right. In my experience anyway.
