Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Chilly and blowy start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast chicken, some LO's.
Lovely week off, back to work this morning, so what sort of mess I've been left with!
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, glad you had a good week off.
Looks like it will be a good day, the washing is on the line (it was quite dark and frosty when I went out). Had to look at the clock twice this morning as it was so dark!
I had booked flights to London for next week but one has been cancelled so spent ages searching for others, think I have it sorted now. I'm going to visit my new little sort of Grandson - his Daddy is DS2s best friend and he came to live with us for a while.
I was pretty exhausted after the family visit but it was all good fun and the children enjoyed playing together although the age gap is quite noticeable now.
4 miles down in my swim challenge, will go again tonight.
Hope you're feeling better Nanny.
Have a good Monday, take care. XX11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC, hope work goes ok after your week off. It's frosty this morning, this winter just won't go away. You'll do your wardrobe another day TA, I know what yoiu mean about trying stuff on, sometimes it's just too much trouble.Sorry to read that you've had neuralgia Nanny, agonising isn't it. Hope you feel better today.Didn't do much yesterday, took some stuff to the van and put it away, and just general house work here.Today I need to go back to the bank in Durham, may stay for a bit for a quick look round.Hope everyone is ok and has a good day.12

Hi everyone,
I was so tired last night I went to bed early with the result that I woke at 5.00 am, grrr.
Esben has his 3 year vaccinations today, hopefully it wont be too traumatic for him, he's a star at the doctor's, very co-operative.
Brian is back from Glasgow at lunch time so he will need picking up at the airport, he's flying into Luton, he flew out from Stansted but Luton is slightly closer. It's handy having the two airports within striking distance because often the budget flights are cheaper if you can mix and match. Even Heathrow is only just over an hour away on a good run (admittedly, unless it's a very early flight it's never a good run on the M25). Steve used to work near Heathrow (at Stockley Park where they fo the football VAR now) and some of his drives to work were quite horrendous, he was relieved to go back to central London after 10 years of that.
I'm going to try a pressure cooker risotto for dinner tonight as a change from the oven baked ones I've been doing lately.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning all
Cold here this morning so I have put the heating on for an hour to warm the place through, only one lady coming today as the other one has text me to say she is poorly, as it’s short notice I will still get paid so not too bad.
We started to prepare for decorating the hallway stairs and landing and the study over the weekend, when I say decorating it’s more like demolition, all the old carpet and skirting and architrave has to be ripped off and replaced, there was a horrible ply wood fire surround in the study which I have always hated, the previous owner had put it up and it looked cheap and nasty, it’s now outside waiting to go to the tip ! The new wood flooring arrives Friday and has to sit in situ for a while before laying, we will start to do the major works over the Easter weekend, I am happy to help with floor laying and the skirting and painting the study but not the stairs and landing as it’s just too high up ! We will get someone in to do that, this is the last bit of major work in the house so I will be glad once it’s done.
Quiche for dinner tonight with new potatoes and salad, nice and quick meal, wm is on and doing it’s thing.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone
Lovely blue skies here but cold...I'm more than ready for some warm weather now. Had a nice quiet afternoon and finished and posted a long form which has taken me ages to complete.
I'm late up this morning as I'm feeling quite achy - pleased we break up on Friday.
I had lots of photos of Dubai from eldest DD yesterday - it's her last day there today. She's enjoyed it but says everyone's too posh for her! They went to the desert and an old town on Saturday and she enjoyed that but says it's all shiny new buildings and you have to get taxis everywhere - not her cup of tea at all.
Well I've got a few jobs to do so I'd better get on. Hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Thanks to GERS' expert tuition I am now back in business on my lappie using the touchpad which Sparkle somehow deactivated when she sat on the keyboard!
I'm late to the party this morning as we had an early doors appointment at the vets. It was panic stations all round at DD's as they all slept in so it was rush, rush, rush to pick me up, get the girls to school and then onwards to the vets on time! We just made it!
Another appointment this afternoon but this time for me at the surgery. It's the annual review for all my meds, BP check, MSU check and blood test results. I hope they don't find anything else I take enough tablets as it is!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better or MIA. I don't like the return of the cold weather so the heating is back on again. Take care xx

Morning all. did a lot of walking yesterday on and off so the ankle is very much protesting today. It was a bit of let down really, there were a lot of stalls all the same, I wasn't expecting the kind of thing that was there really, like five massage chair stalls plus all the charities that kept trying to nab you as you went past which I found really really annoying."Can I just tell you about what we do?" No, you can't, I know what you do. I queued up to look at the cheap home [!], it looked fab but there was no wardrobe space in either of the two bedrooms and no shower in the bathroom. The food bit was jumping though, I had an ice cream..Won't be going again. Got my weeks excercise in though
Today I am doing a big fat nothing. Except maybe a bit of gardening of some kind, there are things to tidy and plant out and compost to shift around. I did try fixing the wheelbarrow but the metal has corroded so the bottom 'legs' can't straightened properly, which means the wheel can't be straightened which means I need a new one. This one has been around for a good twenty years though, I got it from a local hardware shop..And I've looked at the price of new ones and almost fainted...I've just checked where I got it form originally, so a trip back ot that shop is on the cards today. I do love a proper hardware shop. [Rouses, I'm looking at you]
TA, hope you'r enot due to rattle more later. Well done on embracing your technological mindIzzy, man cannot live by restrictive diet alone. Maybe you need a break for a bit where you still count things [however you're counting] but you're not being very very strict. Maybe you have diet fatigue. You've been doing this a while now. What's your this time goal after you reached the wedding goal. camelot, well done on your swimming! Ruby, enjoying listening to your decorating plans [ and everyone else's], I feel like I'm participating even though i'm not
dp, it does sound a bit restrictive to be honest. don't blame her. nanny, sorry you've got the pain stuff, hope it tails off soon. Take care all including the poorly, you get special hugs even if you don't want them
