Due to illness I have had to change my job searching techniques and career goals, I am attending a jobs fair next week and would like to express this in a cover letter without putting them off when I hand out my CV - I have had a variety of jobs in the past, but now need to work from home but am at a bit of a loss exactly what type of work would suit. Initially I thought of customer service but got very confused checking out the different courses out there. I try to get help but the general replies are to ask someone else or they don't know how to help. I don't even have home broadband and phone connection as it is also quite difficult to find the correct social tariff , also when I have used the benefits calculator for some jobs I am not much better off but will have the extra costs of broadband, phone and electricity use, so I will likely be having to pay to work.

If you google on 'remote working vacancies' you might find that gives you some useful pointers as to what opportunities are available for someone wanting to WFH.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
I was hoping to follow.
If you haven’t already you might want to contact your local adult education college, I was able to sign up to do one in Customer Service one. Least then you can try without having to pay and use that as a taster as some online course providers content can be a bit hit and miss.
What to write in covering letters is a good one to touch upon so I wanted to follow, although I rarely do these, I appreciate there is sometimes a need. I just have a line on the CV at the moment as I would be visibly job hunting with a problem, as I think I have to be open up front. I feel relived in some ways that I worked for different sized businesses and held different roles so don’t give up.
Best of luck 🙂0
