I've recently remortgaged with current provider (nationwide) and it took about 30 seconds1

Do you mean a remortgage - change of lenders or a product switch - new rate same lender with no other changes.

We have remortgaged with Santander, changed term and product and it took 7 days to be accepted via telephone1
