Notice period help

Hi could anyone tell me the notice period needed for Marks and Spencer please on a part-time contract. TIA

    It should be clearly stated in the contract of employment. 

    And it depends on how long you've worked there.

    And you can always ask HR at Marks and Spencer.

    Provided you have worked there for at least a month, the statutory notice you need to give is one week.  That never increases.  However your written particulars of employment issued by M&S (your written contract) may include a longer period.  If you cannot find that, ask HR for a copy.

    Someone could... your manager or HR. It'd be dangerous to take advice from a random person off the internet as even if they are honestly telling you whats in their contract doesnt mean that your contract is the same.  In my team (not M&S) our notice period ranges from 1 week to 3 months... a few years ago it would have been 1 week to 12 months but that chap left (PILON in case you are wondering)
