Some possible idea's to help smooth the way?

I have been helped more than a few times on parking issues, once for myself and a few for family and friends.
I have a couple of idea's for finding/linking the information on a simple page using flowchart style options and simple
choices of path to take and find the info quickly on here.
Been tried before or not required? This will only be for finding stuff on here more efficiently and not an external service
that have appeared in years gone by.
Only know the basics of web design so no options to upload stuff etc etc. Hopefully just a cleaner option to finding the
right links on this forum.
Worth a try or a non starter?

I appreciate the sentiment in wanting to give back to the regulars who have helped you in the past, but it has been tried before. One of the problems with flow charts is that changes to the process don't get immediately updated so a flow chart would link to old information until that too is updated.
Another problem is that many people don't know how to use a flow chart.
We have enough problems getting posters to read the NEWBIES before posting, so I'm not sure how you will get new posters to look at a flow chart before they start reading the correct information.

Must admit, I hate flowcharts (my personal opinion) - do people REALLY need words in little circles with arrows, like a children's game?
Not only that, flowcharts don't work for this subject because it is too big; there is not a straight yes or no pathway.
You can't just say:"have you got a PCN, yes or no"
or
"have you got a debt demand?"
Yes they have, which is why they are here... but it's not that simple once you go beyond that. It would look like Spaghetti Junction, wouldn't it?.
There is no simple pathway for most scenarios, except ignoring debt demands - and surely no-one needs images and arrows to be told "ignore it" which post 4 of the NEWBIES thread already tells everyone (with pictures).
Happy to be proven wrong and I know it is just my personal opinion that I detest fiddly little flowcharts and see them as unnecessary spoon-feeding! That is just me. I like written instructions and (within reason) templates.
Nothing against you, OP! New ideas are good. You could try a flowchart to explain how to appeal a private PCN if you think it's possible or needed. Give it a go and see what people think.
OR - just a final thought - why not wait until the new Code of Practice comes in next year?
We will need new appeal instructions then, that match the Appeals Charter and take account of other new clauses in the statutory Code.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Still embedded into my head which would probably work for me. Oh well back to my COBOL.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...4 -
There was a flowchart in this report which is about the OCMC process but applies almost the same way for MCOL.
It would be useful if someone had the time, patience, ability and skill to produce something that could be used by newbies to guide them. It still wouldn't stop the lazy or panicked (or both) who just expect all the legwork to be dome for them.HMCTS opt out mediation evaluation report

The other problem here is that the MSE forum software is pretty naff, especially for storing documents or pages of info unless they are closed threads that are stickied. What you need for a "document" that will show all the necessary steps is for it to be on its own web page that one link will go straight through to it.
That or MSE need to get some decent forum software that allows archives of documents that can be easily linked to. This forum is buried amongst all the other MSE forums which is probably one reason that most victims only find it well after they have started their scam journey.5 -

Or are you older than that.
Appeals charter next year, wonder if that's the reason for a lot of claims from a certain company or two appearing? Scared of what it may
do or possibly funds to donate towards the charter?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
