Bonus Sacrifice

Does the employee have the right to ask the employer to for bonus sacrifice?

Can the employer refuse bonus sacrifice?

Let's say the bonus is 10k, so if this is added to payroll the employer pays 13.8% NI and pension contributions.

If the bonus of 10k is added to pensions as bonus sacrifice, the employer don't have to pay 13.8% NI.

Can we then ask the employer to add 1,380 to the pension?

You have the right to ask anything.
Yes they can, they set the rules.
    Correct.
Again you can ask anything you wish.

You can ask.  A company's ultimate responsibility is to its shareholders.  On that basis, I'd expect them to offer bonus sacrifice but keep the 13.8 percent saving for themselves.

You've asked a lot of questions on this topic in the last 6 months. Have you checked with your employer what they are (a) willing and (b) able to do? If you are in a defined benefit scheme with a fixed employee contribution rate, and no facility to pay additional contributions, then there may not be any scope for the employer to agree to bonus sacrifice - so finding out the facts is your next essential step.

If it's a defined contribution scheme, there should be scope for bonus sacrifice (assuming your employer allows salary sacrifice), but again, you need to ask. People here can't help conclusively, because they don't know your employer's policy on such matters.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
