Hi
My discounted rate mortgage has now ended and the Halifax tell me that, because my property is now let, I can only have the standard variable rate for the remainder of the term. Does anyone know how I can improve on this? I now live in Australia (I didn't add that just to brag!).
thanks
Gerry

You could do a re-mortgage onto a BTL which will be cheaper than SVR with the Halifax.
However if will depend on your circumstances and the figures involved i.e. property value and loan amountI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Obviously will depend on mortgage amount - but note there will be fees involved in moving ( less "fees free options on B2L) plus limited number of lenders available if living overseasAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0
