Supermarket Shopper Beware - The "reduced shelf" or reduced items can sometimes cost you more.
Today I had a look at chicken cold cuts on the "reduced shelf". Two prepacked chicken slice products reduced to £1.83p each total £3.66p.
The fresh shelves - identical produce two for £3.50p (offer).
If someone has already spotted this kind of thing and commented - then sorry for the duplication.0 -

I've split this into its own thread.

You mean retailers exploiting the "yellow sticker - must be cheap" mentality I don't believe it !Shopping in Tesco yesterday and they were reducing the bakery hot cross buns dated 21st - yes doing on the actual day instead of night before - usually 95p or 2 for £130. They were reducing them to 80p. I am sure at times they don't want to get rid of short dated stock.0

Its not exploiting anything, many shoppers may only want one pack anyway.0

Just because it's got a yellow sticker on doesn't mean it's a bargain.
Especially if you weren't going to buy it anyway.
I only buy YS stuff if I know I'll use it.
I do a meal plan but am always open to buying a reduced aubergine and doing a moussaka.3
