Specsavers, can you use more than 1 'offer' at a time?

So, I see on their website, a number of 'offers'. The 2 I am interested in are:-Buy one get one free, and Extra Thin & Light lenses.

Can I make use of both these offers simultaneously?

If you choose a frame with extra thin and light lenses there will be an extra charge for that but you will get a second pair free I think

Ah, I just noticed the smallprint:
    Terms and conditions
Cannot be combined or used with other offers.

Well, after my recent experience, I shouldn't have gone to Specsavers!

They can be quite helpful navigating will round the various  offers they run.  On my last visit it worked out with discount for not taking the free pair it was cheaper to buy new glasses than to reglaze the old.   :-)

Interesting, as on my encounter, I was charged TWICE for the Ultraclear coating. Apparently, UC comes free with Thin&Light, but i'd already paid for UC on my first order.
So much for their 'clear' pricing. So many convoluted offers, even their own staff don't know what they're doing!

What I found was unclear was that they stated the price of the glasses was a shown on their displays.

So "these glasses are £69".  And when asked if that included varifocals/bifocals was told yes it does.  "for £69?" "yes for £69!"  But when we went to go ahead and order them were told "no it's £69 + this + that + the other".  No sufficient answer given for why we had been told differently by someone else a couple of minutes earlier.

The other thing I found a couple of years back was that while you can get a second pair "for free" you are actually paying for it as they will give you a discount if you only want a single pair.  I said to them I didn't need a second pair, have never got a second pair as I always keep my last pair "in case".  So the line about "what if you lose/break them?" is irrelevant to me.

    Small update:
So I got a full refund from Specsavers, which covered the fact they'd charged me twice for the same thing (isn't that fraud?).
I went online and ordered some glasses from another retailer. Unfortunately, it turns out they've put the order on hold, as I hadn't provided the Inter-Add figure.
Inter-What? I asked. After a little look online, it turns out its for Computer use, rather than Near-Add, which is for reading.
Now, when i'd been to Specsavers for my Eye test, I specifically told them the glasses where mainly for computer use. Yet, they have not filled in the box on their little card, presumably designed for that exact purpose.
    Oh dear. Recourse?

Beware of some of the offers if you have an optical voucher from the NHS.  I bought a pair from Specsavers but would have had to pay full price for the second pair as the voucher only covers one pair

I got new specs recently and went to an independent optician.  They were brilliant and I got £139 reduction which meant I could afford to go up a grade for my varifocals.

    Another update:
I had an eye-test done at Boots opticians 2 weeks later. They somehow came up with a completely different prescription than Specsavers!
I've lost all faith in these people now (chain opticians), but how do I get good quality lenses with decent anti-reflective coatings? All I can see online are glasses with 'anti-blue' coatings, which I have no interest in.

I was told that Boots Opticians are alledgedly known for 'over' prescribing. ie making prescription stronger than necessary.
I may not have thanked you but I meant to, honest!
