Tax Code after Self Employment

Morning All,

I have tried ringing HMRC for an answer but no reply!

My husband has been self employed the last 10-11 months but started employment again today.  His new employers have asked for a P60.  Do i go to his previous employer for this?

Also can i submit his Self Assessment Tax Return now or have to wait until after 6th April?

Thanks

If he was employed by an employer at the end of the last tax year (5/4/22) they should have given him a P60 shortly after the year end,
He should have been given a P45 when he left the employment,
I don't think the employer would be able to reissue wither of them - from memory they say as much on the documents.
But the new employer should be able to get your husband to fill in a new starters form instead.

It is not possible to submit a tax return for 2022/23 until 6th April.  The tax year does not end until the day before.
