extremely confused reading the replies above surly you only use Granular salt in Dishwashers Softener salt section when your dishwasher is used in a Hard water area ?
In soft water areas no scale no need for Granular Salt to be used.There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING ! May go silent for unfriendly repliesPlease excuse me Spell it MOST times

My dishwasher makes a noise if I do not buy it wine!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!1

I use Lidl all in one tablets with dissolvable film - less plastic and no faff with opening fiddly tablets. Sometimes use Lidl rinse aid too. Never used salt but I’m in a soft water area.1
