How can I edit a bank statement and ensure hidden info can't be revealed?

Thankfully more places are now accepting silly videos of you holding the document up and reading something random out but still plenty of banks, regulators and others who need to do Know Your Customer type checks who want originals or certified copies.1 -
Print out the statement - Nice thick Black pen to redact what you do not want to show and post it. If it is a legal thing then take it to a solicitor and getn them to endorse it as a true copy.Once you try editing then you raise suspicion you are trying to hide something.1

Many/most Government departments won't accept anything but unedited/unmodified bank statements.

I've decided to ask first before I spend too much time blanking out stuff....probably quicker in the long run.
