I have some of those as well (although not many). It was the self-employment and education years which surprised me when I looked at my NI record, as I was much closer to reaching max NI credits. But I bow to your superior knowledge on contracted-in employment.molerat said:
Self employment and the freebies would not have reduced the number of years, each of those can only add 1/35th new pension. Pre 2016 contracted in employment is the only way to reduce years below 35
After all the posts on here, I was surprised that, for me, state pension is pretty much sorted. Apart from having to wait until 67 (they better not push that date back again).0
