Good morning again, just lost a post as the electricity and of course the router went off just as I was clicking on "post comment".
Seems to be restored, however, I can't face putting it all in again!
Belated birthday wishes to Snoozer and Camelot, hope you enjoyed your special days.
Sorry to hear about your Mum Ruby, hope it''s not a bad attack of Covid.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can.
Take care folks14 -
Morning folks. Thanks for starting us off Scarlet.Whilst it's not dry outside the rain has stopped and the sky is baby blue. Yesterday the rain fell all day, a kind of heavy drizzle.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Mothering Sunday to all. I've got a bunch of daffs in a vase, my DM loved daffs.13

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I missed CAMELOT's birthday too, belated wishes and have another lovely day.
It's a lovely start here with sun and blue sky with the inevitable rain forecast for later. Yesterday's rain never arrived so maybe we will be lucky today too! I am just having a second coffee and psyching myself up to go up and address my skunk look. The white roots seem to appear overnight.
I am going down to DD's later for a Mother's Day meal. I think all 3 DGD's may be there which will be nice. As always she will do enough to feed 5,000! DS is going to call in this morning.
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. I hope RUBY's DM is feeling better today. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -

Happy happy Mother’s Day to all. Just had a shower and in the process of redressing the breast wound. Always dread it but feels a lot more comfortable when done. Think youngest son will drop in later he was talking about bringing scones and jam and cream for a treat . Found a large box of colouring pencils and other crafty things so hopefully that will entertain the grandchildren for a while.11

Morning all & Happy Mothering Sunday to those who celebrate it. We will see DS2 & DGD shortly as footie is starting early so the girls can get home earlier to spoil their Mums. At least it's at home so no travelling, unlike yesterday which was near Manchester at lunchtime so quite some time spent on the motorway. I'm glad I got the curry that only required a quick heat up, as our friend rang and asked if we were going to an evening at his sons music venue. DH had missed the message so it was all a bit rushed, and DS1 was good enough to take and pick us up.We met friends we haven't seen since summer last year so that was great. Some of the music wasn't to our taste ( young lads just starting on their gig journeys) and an older band .I had to have earplugs in for them. There was a DJ playing in the bar- that suited us better as you could have a conversation & we caught up with the friends. Not a late night at all as we knew we were going out early.Roast beef later.Camelot- Happy belated birthday greetings x Hope everyone has a good day, enjoy your jam and cream scones Poppy x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning
Happy mums day if you celebrate it.
I'm off to visit mum today for the first time in ages what with the home closing for sickness and my stint in hospital. They are laying on afternoon tea which will be nice. Not very happy with them at the moment as they have put the prices up by £500 a month!!! I know we are in the middle of a cost of living trauma but that is over the top
Got mum a few bits creams and potions mostly ....the ones that will wipe away the 92 years and have her looking 20!
No other plans and I probably won't need to cook so once home I'll get pj ready and enjoy bake off.
Have a lovely day everyone12 -
Morning everyone enjoy your jam and cream scones poppy Ruby hope your mum is feeling better TA I put a colour on my hair last night it was a light brown I usually have a dark brown it’s looking a bit brassy but it will soon grow out at least it’s covered a few grey stragglers . I got a good couple of walks in yesterday and managed to stay dry ish it’s lovely and bright today so hopefully I will get a couple in today house is all clean I will wash the kitchen floor again later and I’ve got a beef joint for lunch I will do with plenty of veg and there should be enough on it to get the hubby a couple of days sandwiches out of it . Morning everyone
I have my bedding in the washing machine as, when I looked at the forecast, we've got rain on every day for the next fortnight! Hopefully it will change. I'll get it hung out before I go down to sit with dad while my mam goes to church.
Nice lazy morning with little one yesterday and then we went down to mam and dads for lunch...little one sat on the arm of my dads chair for a while and 'styled' his hair. Brings back memories as my girls used to do the same, though with a bit more hair...he was often left sitting with his slides in!
She went home about 3 and I had a lovely read of my book.
Eldest DD in Germany sent me some lovely flowers for Mothers Day so I rang her for a chat.
I was just thinking about when they were little girls and used to make me breakfast on Mothers Day - I'd hear them going 'quietly' down the stairs and then the banging and clattering would start, something would fall on the floor and they'd start bickering over who was doing what. Eventually they'd come up the stairs with breakfast - it was jam and bread and a cup of milk before they were allowed to touch the kettle but over the years progressed to tea and toast. They never progressed as far as tidying up after themselves though!
Well I'd better get moving. Hope everyone has a good day today x

Hi everyone,
Sorry I missed your birthday Camelot, happy birthday.
We had a lovely meal yesterday. It looked as if it would be a disaster because the restaurant said they didn't have Laura's reservation. After a bit of back and forth they opened the private dining room for us so we had a lovely quiet space and could move about with the babies as needed without disturbing anyone. When we left we walked through the main restaurant it was so busy and noisy we were relieved that things had worked out as they did.
Today will be a quiet day and Brian has said he will make dinner so I will be able to watch the football in relative peace.
Have a good day.13
