Argos Customer Service

Hi,
I'm new to this forum but read almost everything on the website trying to be more money aware.
It's Christmas rush now and I just want to say that I have been shopping with Argos, Comet and PC World for five years since I've been living in UK. In my opinion the price is as important as customer service and in this one Argos wins by far.
Just to mention: a half a year ago there was a bulglary in my and my husband's flat and among few things stolen there was a digital camera given to us by my parents as a registry office wedding present. They bought the camera during January 07 sale in Argos Extra in Cheltenham paying by cash. I went to the store trying to get the receipt reprinted after the burglary to be able to get the replacement camera via home insurance. The sales assistant spend almost a week trying to truck down the receipt and she did it!!!!! We've got the camera back via insurance and I have to admit that it wouldn't had happened if not Argos customer focused approach.
On the other hand, I both a Philips TV in Comet on-line and it recently broke down. Philips has offered to look at it as long as I'm going to provide the receipt. I got all the transaction details from my account (date, amount, transaction number) and I passed it to Comet to get a replacement of the receipt (most of my paperwork was distroyed during last summer's flooding in Gloucestershire -not a lucky year for us this year, I'm affraid:( ). They got back to me next day saying that... they are unable to issue a copy of receipt. Probably too much hassle for something they have already sold.
I'll be definitively shopping only with Argos.
