I'd be amazed if they didn't win the next election. I guess it's a risk you have to judge, better if you're not close to the current LTA. Labour don't like those that can afford to put £40 or £60k PA into their pension so I wouldn't be surprised if they not only abolished it but also changed the rules.GazzaBloom said:
No, but that would only potentially be if they win the next General Election, hence I want to start this immediately and make the most of it before the next GE which is at the latest January 2025 so we have this year and next year to get stuck into the £60KGrubbyGirl_2 said:Are you sure that Labour won't keep their promise to reverse it?
Labour may not like people like me but I'm not overly keen on them either, or the Tories, or any political party really.
I'm not close to LTA so the opportunity to get an extra 40-50K into my pension over the next couple of years or so is a welcome opportunity even if the LTA is reintroduced down the road.0 -
Labour allowed people to put £250k pa into their pension! Labour don't really dislike the rich, they just want to portray the Tories as the party of the rich, so they pretend to object to stuff like this to create divisions and prentend they're on the side of "ordinary people" not that of bankers etc.GrubbyGirl_2 said:
