Hi guys,

At the moment, the conveyancing stage is where my solicitor has raised a number of inquiries about the property and the vendor's solicitor is trying to answer them.

My solicitor raised the inquiries on 27/02.

I happened to chase this with the selling agent on 13/03 to see if there is an update.

I asked them how far away do you think we are from the completion.

On the same day, the selling agency replied by saying the vendor's solicitor has most of the answers to inquiries and my solicitor should hear from them within the next day or two.

I chased this with my solicitor this morning and he replied he has not heard anything from the vendor.

Given this, how often would you recon I chase my solicitor, Secondly, would you also recon I chase this with the selling agent?

To me it seems very odd they give me some updates that did not turn out to be true!

If it 'goes quiet', it is not by accident. Askthe Selling Agent why the vendor's side have not responded.

It sounds like it is the sellers side dragging their feet.
I dont think it is unreasonable to give people a nudge after 14 days. But ultimately it is either the seller or the sellers solicitor dragging their feet.

Is the property leasehold or is there anything else unusual?

Enquiries can take longer in such circumstances.
