Credit Reference Agencies NEED greater Independent control.

Options
They are a Law unto themselves and consistently stonewall any corrections that they are made aware of. Are any of you having similar issues? Let's get together. There is strength in numbers.

I have had enough. I am looking to sue them and demand compensation.

Let me explain:-

I have major issues with all four Credit Reference Agencies holding out of date, and incorrect information that is positively wrong. I have been trying to resolve these issues with all fur and because of the incorrect information, I have been refused Credit.

I have had 9 years of being fobbed off, stonewalled, and referred to the disputed account holder who is BT, and when I spoke with them and their accounts department, I was informed that my record had been deleted and the accounts department has no record at all of me ever having an account with them.

Enough is enough, and I have had enough. I propose to issue proceedings against all four Credit References and demand financial compensation as well as incorrect information removed from my files and those files of any companies that use their data source AND a Public apology on all four websites and credit reference files pertaining to me. I have reported them to the Financial Ombudsman. As useful as a Chocolate Fireguard. They are stonewalling them as well and they have offered no assistance to resolve my issues.

I am seeking the advice of a knowledgeable Solicitor who has expertise in this area. I would welcome any support from the Forums online and perhaps from Martins Money yourselves. An email informing me that they have written to all the agencies is not exactly what I call dynamic action

Does anyone else have similar problems with their Credit Reference Files? PLEASE check yours as there may be mistakes, incorrect data, and out-of-date information which will affect your ability to get credit. Any guidance or advice would be most welcome.

Thanks

  • Your claim for compensation will need to be based around your losses. What's the situation?

You won't be getting a public apology so scrap that one.

If you explain the details of the incorrect data, people will be able to offer some clearer advice. Save your solicitor fund for other purposes.
  • I still intend to take action against 3 or the four Credit Reference agencies. It is about time they learn to correct out-of-date and incorrect data they hold on people. CHECK your Credit Reference Files. It is FREE. You will be surprised at just how inaccurate some of their data is, and they do not care. When informing them, they fob on who or with whom I should take these actions from the forum would be much appreciated you off with excuses and platitudes, well no more.

    Time for action NOW!

    Any advice
