Help understanding remortgage costs

Hi, 

I have remortgaged from Santander to NatWest this month. 

I had £108500 (ish) left to pay, the new mortgage had fees of £995 and £30 for something which I can’t remember. 

I remortgaged for £111000 and was refunded £1146 I’m trying to understand where the rest has gone? The mortgage is now £111995 if I take off the repayment that’s £110849 where has the other £2k gone? I completed after any erc. What am I missing here?

So your £108500 ish was actually £109740. If you don't think that's correct, you'll need to look at the redemption statement.

total to redeem mortgage £109739.69

I also had a payment back of £649.36 so total I got back was 
£1795.67
