As per title, really. We've been migrated from Bulb to Octopus and would now like a smart meter, but Octopus say "At the moment we aren’t currently installing smart meters for the Bulb migrated accounts. This is due to Bulb migrated accounts having a different Meter Operator that carries out these jobs."
I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to go about getting a smart meter! Anybody got any ideas?! Thanks!

Kind of ironic that people refusing a smart meter were getting harassed to have one installed on a weekly basis 2 years ago2

Thanks! That is a bit of a strange answer as moving between suppliers and still being able to fit smart meters is just a normal event these days.I suspect there is a bigger issue like a mass migration planned for the meters due to the numbers involved.

Octopus do have a strange policy with bulb customers that until they are all moved over no one benefits before the last customer is over.
This could have something to do with this or maybe not.1 -
I think that the Government’s decision to allow Bulb to be taken over by Octopus is still under a judicial review with the possibility that it could be reversed.1
