That £2,880 figure is unchanged. The £2,880 figure is the amount you can contribute to your pension regardless of income & still get 20% tax relief.It's the MPAA that has changed from £4,000 to £10,000 - this is amount you can put in your pension after drawing on taxable income from your DC pension. You'd still need relevant earnings to be able to make that contribution.1

The £4K to £10K is part of the encouraging retirees back to work strategy, not a lot of point in encouraging them to stay retired at the same time
