Very damp blowy and chilly start to the day. 

DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and  enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here.  DS2 settled and happy.

Dinner last night was jacket potato, cheese, beans, cold meats, pork pie (menfolk), boiled egg and salad.  Tonight possibly fish, chips and beans.

Work was busy but ok yesterday.  We'll see what today brings.

Morning All

Thanks for the start nmlc.

Woken up to snow again this morning, I thought it was just going to be icy! It looks very pretty, hoping it thaws pretty soon.

Gosh Nanny and Muddy, didn't realise the winds were so strong, hope you get everything sorted.

Not much to report, another day in the mad house ahead!

Morning folks and thanks NMLC.  A glorious start here with sunshine and blue sky. Sadly, as usual, it's not going to last! Rain and light snow are forecast for later. 

Bad news from BFF's DIL yesterday after BFF's Oncology appointment. No further treatment is planned and the prognosis is not good. Hard to predict they say but it could be as short as 8 weeks. This is so hard to take in for everybody after she seemed to be doing so well. She is being very stoical as always and messaged she hopes to meet me as usual next Tuesday. I have my doubts about that but you never know. Meanwhile I am meeting our third friend as usual today for lunch and we will raise a glass to her. 

Not a lot else is planned other than maybe a little bit of shopping afterwards. I have a little list for Boots.

Morning folks. 

It's a chilly start here. The sky has been bright red, grey and now there's baby blue bits peeking out. I thought that snow was coming, but no. I'll wait a while before making my mind up. 

Yesterday I took away all my recycling which was in my car. I had planned to dispose of it at the large centre in Glasgow on my way back last week but didn't. The detour seemed a trip too far then. 

TA - I'm so sorry to read about your BFF. It's devastating news for her and her family as well as her friends. My thoughts are with her.

Morning everyone TA sorry to hear your sad news life can sometimes be so unfair. Taff I’m definitely crossing off the days . It’s bright but cold here I think we are forecast a few days of rain WW tonight see what the damage is I’ve started doing a excercise class in the house when I get in on a night get fit with Rick there’s loads to choose from and he’s good fun I did the tums one last night I’m a glutton for punishment off to work now homemade veg soup for lunch and salmon stir fry when I get in tonight.keep warm and well everyone. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all

Dry and bright and sunny here but a bit cold, three clients coming today and we are off to the wildfowl trust for the day, there is a little cafe there where we can get a coffee this morning, we had no luck with the horse book yesterday but got a few things to get us started.

Salmon for dinner tonight with new potatoes and creamed spinach which I have discovered that I love ! Going to try making it and see how it works out.

TA I am so sorry to hear about your friend that’s such hard news for her to hear and for her family and friends, sending lots of love to you all xx

I’ve had a quick tidy through this morning and will run the hoover over once I’ve had my tea.

Morning all Chilly and wet but only for the next hour apparently and supposedly dry tomorrow  not sure if i believe them as it was forecast dry all week at the weekend hoping it is dry and breezy as i want to wash my door mats I know the excitement is too much sometimes
TA I am really sorry to hear your BFF's news life seems very unkind sometimes x
Nanny hope you are ok the winds were strong yesterday several posts on FB looking for covers of garden furniture that had gone missing
Today will be a tidy up and a root through the freezer I am ashamed to say i have 3 and i need to organise them so will get on with that today

Morning. The day of the big burn has landed because if I put it off any longer I'll be doing it Friday morning...went to Dobbies after the tip yesterday, bought a rack for the remoska and a small whisk with silicone on the ends of it and tht was it. Stopped off at farm shop for a couple of pork chops which we ate with risotto. Off to OHs mums tonight for supper. And I must post a card today if I can ifnd the address. That's my day...

TA, sorry about your friend, I hope she gets to spend her time as she wishes. Izzy, you're on a roll! Ruby, I'd never had that until I tried Jamies recipe and now, omg, it's lovely! nanny, get off the roof....Take care all...

Gorgeous day here blue sky and sunny. Cold though

No real plans here today but plenty I could do if the inspiration grabs me.

As expected the GP surgery rang to say my readings were a little high so I have a rare appointment on Monday. May take a list of all the other things annoying me atm!
