State pension underpaid?

Hi there.
I have been reading that some ladies claiming state pension can claim back dated pay under certain criteria, but cannot find a link to it to help my Mom see if she’s been underpaid, or does have to phone as I can’t find any link to use? My Mom has said that she has already called the DWP and they didn’t know what she was on about.
Can anyone help please?
TIA.

When did she reach state retirement ? Must be pre April 2016How much pension is she getting and how is it made up ? Her annual award letter will give the details.

Try again and refer the adviser to this information on gov.uk.
They have already checked over 100,000 cases, although plenty don't seem to be due anything extra.

Any arrears she gets will be taxable so she could get a tax bill in due course although I think HMRC have a concession to only collect some of the tax in some situations.0
