Good morning folks. I'm back from my adventures. 😀
I had a very long drive yesterday, seven hours which included a couple of brief comfort stops and going the long way round. Once I got to my village I picked up a Chinese takeaway, ate half of it and went to bed. Now I realise that I haven't put the remainder away! At least I won't have to go shopping today, it'll be resting time.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. That sounds a very tiring journey so glad you are safely home again.
It's like looking out across the Arctic this morning. Yesterday's deluge of snow is now lying there frozen and looking very hazardous so I shall be keeping safely indoors. Youngest DGD was the only one to relish getting out in all the snow yesterday and cleared my front steps, then built a snowman. DD was able to get home from work as, being a hospice, it is the council's first priority to keep access clear. I finally said farewell to my DGDs around 4.00 pm. Food stocks much depleted but it's been lovely having them.
So today it's the Friday Tidy which didn't get done yesterday. It will be the quickest whizz round ever with the dust and vacc Then a feet up afternoon I think.
Have a good day all if you can with ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better and MIA. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -

It's frosty here this morning.
Hope you all have a good weekend.12 -

Morning all
Looks to be a nice morning I can see the sun peeping out, rain due later this afternoon though.
Car passed its mot which was great, we took the dogs down to the beach whilst waiting and the wind was bitter, the dogs loved it but we were glad to get back in the warm.
Had my nails done I had a sort of gun metal grey it’s lovely and the world was put to rights for another few weeks !Housework to do this morning and then maybe a nana nap and a film this afternoon, it’s OH turn to walk the dogs.
I went to M & S the other day and got two of the meal deals so tonight we have steak chips and creamed spinach and tomorrow I got a stuffed chicken with veg and chicken gravy it’s £10 per deal and the chicken alone was £7.50 so not too bad, will just have to do some roasties to go with tomorrows dinner, nice for a treat.
Gers I’m glad you got back safely x
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning
Gorgeous day today blue sky and sunny snow all gone now but its still bitterly cold. Accidentally left the heating on last night so house was toasty this morning. That went off when I got up .....budget won't stretch to overnight heating!
Currently watching the hubby cook a bacon butty. Its a thing of joy just like him!!
No plans today apart from my volunteer befriending call this morning. House is still clean and tidy so nothing I have to do. I feel a trash tv catch up coming on
Glad you got home safely Gers that's a long journey and not the best weather.
Rubes enjoy your meal deal...far better value than a takeaway
Have a good day all

Morning All
Lovely and sunny at the moment so the washing's out. I had to wash my coat yesterday as I met a friend for a coffee after work, nice coffee and cake but the place smelt very greasy and I was stinking when I got home. Everything got a wash including me. Shame as it could be so good and in a great place on the canal.
I've changed the bedding and been for a swim, really need to do some deep cleaning but not sure I am in the mood!
Glad you got home safely Gers.
Happy Birthday to your Dad dp1, it would have been my Dad's birthday today.
Hope you both have a nice lazy day Nelski and Ruby.
Stay safe in the ice and snow if you have it, take care. XX11 -
Hello all, most of the snow has gone, just a few pockets of it left on the garden. I finished making the pasties and made 10 of them in the end, the bulk of which went into the freezer and we have 2 left for today. I think I must have worn myself out with all the baking as I slept very well last night and I'm still a bit tired today, so a day of rest will be the order of the day. I have a new jigsaw to start and some catch up tv to watch.
Hope everyone has a good Saturday
Take care if you have to venture out. Hugs to all.

Good Morning all living in the warm south east, this week we had snow ,ice, rain ,wind and now sunshine
Just texted eldest DD as she flies home from the USA tonight with her OH after a weeks break. They have had nice weather there, and the other day she was sitting in Central Park near to my grandsons house ,and she facetimed me to say she was only wearing her tee shirt and a light cardi ,no coat as it was too warm. Hope she brings some nice weather back with her.
Looking at the TV it was showing all the thick snow our friends in the north are coping withlooks blooming freezing.Hope you are all safe and sound.
I am in knitting mode today as I am making a blanket for the forthcoming third great-granddaughter. Due 4th July she will be born in the USA hopefully on Independance Day. My late eldest brother was, and my Aunt would always send him dollars, which my late father had to get exchanged. No quick bank transfers back in the 1940s-50s
Right time to get the kettle on once more I swear I have tea in my veins and not blood. My procedure is this coming Friday 17th on St Paddy's Day in my local hospital, so maybe it will bring me luck
Have a good weekend everyone

Good morning, it's a nice sunny day here, but cold of course. Most of the snow seems to have gone, but here in our little town we are sheltered, once you leave in any direction it's always worse. Not complaining though.Glad you're home safely after your long drive Gers.Happy birthday to your dad, Dp1. hope he enjoys his day.Hello Jackie, great to see you posting, I'm pleased to read that you've got a date for your procedure.Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.12
