Hello All
As a newby to the forum I'm not sure if this message is in the correct section, please advise if not.
We are considering buying a property in spain and noticed the GB pound to euro exchange rate seems to better than in recent weeks/months.
Is this the best time to buy euros, if so which company could you recommend that we deal with. What are the things we should be wary of.
We have no experience of doing this so any help adive would be appreciated,
Thanks, Haywire

I have been looking for euro's for a holiday and the best exchange rate I have found is:- XE.com they offer today 1.50 to the £.
Has anybody heard or delt with them?
Its the best rate I have seen.0 -
xe.com the website I can vouch has been around for well over 5 years - I used to use the site practically on a daily basis when I was working for an international association with several different currency accounts. I've never actually used them for transactions tho. They do online transfers between international accounts, but don't supply cash, as far as I'm aware, so it's good for buying your holiday home in Spain but no use if you want some cash to spend when you get there. Before you criticise a man, walk a mile in his shoes. Then, when you do criticise him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.0

Thanks I will give them a go0

I opened an account with xe.com but did not use them as their check on my identity took longer than the UK based co that I ended up using https://www.isxfx.com whose exchange rate was better than other companies and their spread was a lot narrower, therefore more pesos received.0

It might be worth looking at the Global Currency Exchange Network website.
We use them regularly.
Let's hope that Sterling remains strong against the Euro for some time, it's saving me quite a bit of money.EJS0
