I believe answer = 23

No races in Russia, China, France this year

When I googled it the first post said 24. I don't know anything about sport so I could be wrong!

The offcial F1 site there are 23 rounds, but there's also another date down as testing, which I think is why there is some confusion.

I've put 23 as the answer as I don't think the testing would count as a race, but can't be 100% if they're counting it or not.

One-Eye

The original plan was for 24 races, but China was cancelled (due to Covid rules) in early December. F1 were talking to venues (inc. Turkey and Portugal) to replace the race, but couldn't reach agreement. F1 thus confirmed a 23-race season in mid-January, which now has a 4-week gap between Australia (2nd April) and Azerbaijan (30th April).

The question clearly asks for "races" so the Bahrain testing event 23-25/02 doesn't count and the answer is 23.
