I should like to leave a review for Effective Home. We checked them on Trusted trader and they seemed okay. But we didn't read all the bad reviews.  Before you choose Effective Home, read the one-star reviews.

They took our money last summer, did one day's work, at the same time causing hundreds of pounds of damages, then refused to return to finish the work or repay our money or pay for the damages. Their reason "because of your roof" – though we never received that in writing.

This is all going through the HIES insurance scheme. However the insurance agent gives one the feeling that they aren't listening to us as they didn't seem aware that Effective Home had not repaid our money even though they took all their equipment back. 

Meanwhile three other firms bid for the work and the chosen one, CRG of Hayling Island, fitted panels onto our roof. In the process giving us better looking and more efficient panels than Effective Home. Ironically their surveyor was the same as who did the Effective Home survey.
