Dismissal from work due to alleged gross misconduct allegations

I was dismissed without notice from a job that I was in for nearly 5 years.  Two recently recruited colleagues had made complaints against me, there was an issue with me leaving work early one day due to a family emergency and I had put something on Facebook which my employer took as a criticism.  It has really upset me and I was very low for a while.  I even considered putting myself forward for clinical trials as my ex employer had made me unemployable and on a job offer refused to give me a standard reference.  I have now secured another job but dealing with the dismissal has been really difficult.

Is there a specific question here?

ETA I think the poster possibly was intending to reply to another thread and started a new one by mistake.

Unless this happened within the last three months you are now out of time to launch a tribunal claim, even assuming you have valid grounds. There are very few exceptions to this rule.

Given that you have now secured another job it is probably best to put this behind you. You new job is now the one any potential employer in the future would expect to provide a reference.
