When I was working I used to take a packed lunch as the office was sited so far from anywhere that sold food. I found several ways to change my lunch without it costing a fortune or having the same thing every day.
Try freezing your bread and taking out just the number of slices you want for that sandwich. Put your filling in while still frozen if possible and by the time you eat it at lunchtime its thawed and fresh. Lettuce doesnt do well in that type though. You can also make up a salad on a plate with pasta or rice, egg, grated carrot, cheese chunks, beetroot etc. Or how about a home made soup with your cheese sandwich. Again batch make and portion freeze it. Most offices have a microwave to reheat the soup. Just think more about batch cooking and freezing meals. You can even make a full roast dinner, freeze it and heat it in a microwave.0
