Discounts for NHS Foundation Trust members

This is a bit obscure, but here's what I discovered..
Foundation NHS Trusts have a structure which allows members of the public to become Foundation Trust members, with varying levels of involvement, by choice. The minimum age is 16 and there's no upper age limit. So someone who's keen on a career in the NHS, or someone who has retired from the NHS would be ideal, along with patients with chronic illnesses or disablities and stay at home mums or dads who used to work in the NHS. Bsically, anyone with an interest in the NHS, especially locally. It's not too shabby, to go on a CV either.
Members get to elect the Governors who oversee the Trust board and get to do a lot of other things.
I discovered that SOME Foundation Trusts offer members the opportunity to sign up for discounts. When going through the discount website , you answer Yes to Do You Work for the NHS ? Then IF the website offers a dropdown box which includes 'Foundation member', you can click and sign up.
The discount site will ask the NHS Foundation Trust to verify that you are a Foundation member, so you need to use the same email address that you used to become a member.
The Foundation Trust WON'T help you with sign up glitches for a website. Foundation Trusts may have a restriction on member numbers and not all foundation trusts will be involved in discount schemes. But if you have an nterest in the NHS, it may be a ueful thing, if you can get the discounts as well.
