Prize not been delivered (MD) - Lucre

Hey guys
So I won a prize from Woman's Health Magazine back early January, on the email I got it said that Lucre the PR agency organising the prize had 30 days to deliver my prize to me and to take it up with them if I haven't heard back. i've checked all junk mail, spam and everything to check nothing slipped in there!
It's been more than 30 days, I've emailed, called, chased after the 30 day mark and no one is getting back to me. It's a really decent win as well haha, it's £50 to spend at a dog food company and quite honestly I could do with the prize. It's also my first win so I don't want to let it slide.
Has anyone else had experience with Lucre? Or any advice on if the company don't meet their terms and deliver the prize to you.
Thanks!!

Make sure that it is 30 days from the date you were told that.
Check with your local delivery office (post office) that they don't have anything waiting for you.
Is it Lucre you have tried contacting or Woman's Health Magazine?
UK non-broadcasted promotions it is usually the ASA known to be the place to report any issues with Competitions and Advertising.
The CMA may also help in certain situations.
https://www.asa.org.uk/make-a-complaint.html
https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/competition-and-markets-authority
The ASA may refer a complaint to Trading Standards, or to NTSELAT (for house raffle complaints)
If it is a TV or Radio broadcasted promotion then you should contact OFCOM https://www.ofcom.org.uk/complaintsThank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.4 -
I'm outside the 30 day window. I think it's an e-voucher that they'll send me as i only had to provide first name surname and email address not my actual address. I've been checking my junk, spam every day since I won cos I've been so excited lol.
I've tried contacting Lucre themselves as Women's Health basically said at the footer of their 'congratulations' email that they're not responsible for delivering the prize and if there's any issues to get in touch with Lucre directly.
I did have a look at the person responsible on linkedin... she's an 18 year old Intern who's out of office is constantly on as she's only part time at the company.
I've tried their main like enquiries email, the out of office divert email, called them and nothing...
I will probably need to go down the ASA route. Thanks so much for your info!!2 -
Hi Flopsybunny2409 - Have you tried the following email address hello@lucre.co.uk or loveus@lucre.co.uk.
You could also try contacting the dog food brand explaining the situation i.e. that you haven't received the voucher and that the PR company they have used are failing to respond to emails.
If it's only just over 28 working days then I'd give them a few more days as there was a half term holiday in February. Also something else to take into consideration - what day did you ring/email Lucre - they might be one of these companies that are now doing a 4 day week i.e. no one working on a Friday.2 -
Hey!
Yes I've tried both, plus the personal one I was given when I won the competition, plus the email address that was given in the personal one's out of office. So I've tried 4 emails!
I also have emailed over the last week and a half or so on a Monday - Thurs (I don't usually work friday's myself so am never usually on the computer!) but no one has answered.
I think you have a point about half term, so I am going to give it a few more days, I won the prize on the 10th Jan so it has been well over the time period but I know there's been a lot going on!
Might try calling them again tomorrow and seeing what they say!
Thanks so much for your help!!1 -
It might be worth messaging Lucre on their Facebook page.
I think this is the link https://www.facebook.com/WeLoveLucre
Good luck1 -
I had a similar situation a few years ago where my MD prize was not fulfilled. It was a different MD, but similarly was told to follow up with the PR company if it was outwith the 28 days they had to fulfill my prize. However, the winning email also said to copy in the MD company to any correspondance I had with the PR company. It turned into a bit of a circus, but it actually ended up being the MD company that helped and offered me an alternative prize because my original prize was not fulfilled.
I don't know what your winning email said, but perhaps double check you weren't given a contact from Women's Health magazine (Hearst?) as they may be able to help too.1
