I'm wondering whether I lose my FiT payments if I install another solar array with seperate inverter & meter on my property? I know I can't add onto that meter but assume I can have another meter and export through my current energy provider (shell) and not my FiT service provider?

Can you get DNO permission for the extra export?Reed0

You’d probably also need to opt out of 50% deemed export on the FIT panels
Dont think you can be paid for export (aka SEG) and have paid FIT export too.Not sure how much money you’d miss out on, as FIT deemed export payment is probably better than SEG export payments. You can keep the generation part of FIT (as long as you don’t change* the existing system including the generation meter)
* it is possible, but maybe slightly complicated, to replace parts of your old system if something fails, e.g. the inverter. Not relevant here, but just for info in case anyone reads the above…PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery.
