Not being paid for 21 hours of induction training??

Last week I completed online mandatory training for a new job, was told this training was mandatory and must be completed before employment. Sat through 2 days of 7 hours each of zoom training. Emailed my recruiter to ask regarding pay and if training was paid to which I was told it was not. This surprised me as when applied for the job (and still in the job advert it says ‘paid induction training’. Still need another 7 hours of mandatory training before I can start the job (another 7 hours of unpaid)

Is this normal to have such a long induction unpaid? Surely if I HAVE to do this training for my job I should be paid??

Taking 2 days off work unpaid to complete unpaid mandatory training has left a sour taste in my mouth if I’m honest. Is it unusual to complete such long induction training unpaid?
Would it be worth fighting to be paid for it when it clearly says ‘paid induction training’ in the job advert?
