Mortgage Questions

Im curious why they only ask for 1 months bank statement / 1 months payslip.
Has anyone actually got a mortgage based only on 1 month statement/1months payslip?
Also - what types of questions do the underwriters typically come back with. Ive provided by salaried account bank statement but on the day I get paid I transfer my personal money and savings into one account and my joint house hold money into another - im surprised my MB doesnt seem concerned about this but I also understand he knows this process better than I ever could!
Any advice or insight would be great!
Thanks!

Plenty of lenders ask for a single payslip and no bank statement. Most lenders aren't interested in your twelve accounts to get cashback etc.
