Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark chilly start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO roast pork and chicken, still some chicken left for tonight, will serve that with other cold bits and hot new potatoes - hairdresser is coming tonight so need an easy meal.
Yesterday work wasn't too bad, see what today brings.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
No frost this morning but still a little chilly.
So sorry for the lady's family Ruby.
Hugs to you TA, such a lot of worry.
Madly busy day at work yesterday - Teacher strike today and tomorrow, we've been left a very big task to do today so it will probably be busier than usual! This new HT is certainly changing a lot (apart from behaviour!).
Missing you Nelski, hope everyone is well. Take care. XX11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's a damp and misty start here, yesterday was fine - ish with showers, cold though.TA, I'm very sorry to hear about your friend, and your brother, you'll be so worried.Gers, that was a fab picture that you posted. we've had many lovely holidays in various parts of Scotland. We stayed on Skye s few years ago in the camper van, it rained all the time! but what a beautiful place.Ruby, that poor lady, what a shame.Dp1 hope your dgd will soon be on the mend.Thinking of our poorly and sad people today.Take care folks.12

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
Cold start here. We have pup today and he is so cute - loves a bit of fuss from his Nannie(!) and is such a tonic to have around.
If proof were ever needed that devices listen in, I had a link to that exact same castle that @Gers posted pop up on my mobile yesterday - of all the gin joints..... very creepy.
I'm WFH today and DH is in London but DS2 is here all week. I'll do a chilli con carne in the slow cooker today. Have just taken meter readings and worked out our bill for Feb. Slightly lower than Jan but obvs 3 days less standing charge to factor in. We only get billed every 6 months, so I'm trying to keep a tally of our spending so as not to have a big shock.
Will do a wash load today and pop it on the airer. I also have 2 more Bay of E parcels to send. Fundraising for Feb has just gone over £200 - very happy with that.
Sending hugs to our poorlies and love and strength to those with worries.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A bit of a damp start here but now blue sky is emerging. But it doesn't feel any warmer.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts yesterday. I am trying not to dwell on things but it's not easy. A text from BFF at 6.05 this morning (yes honestly!) told me she had just had her BP taken and was going for another scan shortly. No breakfast allowed until she gets back. Her DIL told me last night that she had been started on steroids and was talking less nonsense and a bit less confused. Until all the scans have been done they have no idea what lies ahead.
Today is another day of same old same old. Outstanding jobs may get done - or they may not! Yesterday I swept up all the mess at the back left by the workmen and stood up all the pots blown over in the gales a couple of weeks back. There is only one pot showing any life out there. I think the harsh spell before Xmas may have killed a lot of stuff off.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and getting better. DP1 a special hug for your brave little soldier, I hope she is soon on the mend. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -

Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all
Fees very cold here this morning so I have put the heating on for a couple of hours to warm the place up before the clients come, three coming today and I thinking of wrapping up warm and having a walk and a picnic and then stopping for hot chocolate somewhere, but will see if they fancy anything different.
Meatballs for dinner tonight with pasta, I have put a wash on this morning so that can go on the airer.
TA so sorry to hear about your BFF and DB, what a worry for you xx
i have spoken with Nels she is ok but her hands are playing up so typing is not easy for her atm xx
Have good days all xx11 -
Morning folks. No heavy frost today, I can see the sheep clearly. 😀. Yesterday was a day of catching up, doing banking and, eventually, finishing off my bottle of birthday wine. I had a quick trip into town and that was it. I'm so glad that I headed away on Saturday when the weather was so glorious as the low cloud base has returned. Sunset was very red with only a tiny sliver of green showing so no spectacular Northern Lights again.I have no real plans, there's a few things to do but whether they get done is still debatable. I've plenty of food so no need for shopping.Ruby - thanks for news of Nelski.TA - I hope that your friend responds well to the new meds.Happy Tuesday to all.11

Hi everyone,
I'm very jealous of everyone who managed to see the aurora, it's top of my bucket list. Laura and brian also missed it but they saw it when they went to Norway a few years ago.
I've been trying to call the Dr's surgery but it's saying the phone is out of service, so it will have to wait another week because the dr I want to speak to is only there a couple of days a week.
We're off to Yorkshire today, Steve's lined up the chimney sweep, pat tester and fire extinguisher services for the next few days so we probably won't be getting out and about too much. I'll probably leave him to it and go to Skipton to have a mooch round the market tomorrow.
I hope all the poorly people are as well as can be expected.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning everyone
Raining here this morning - I'm hoping it stops before I need to go to work as I'm using my bike this week, with little one being poorly. Thanks for all the good wishes - she rang me last night and was full of chat. DD says she doesn't seem particularly poorly - just very spotty!
I want to get upstairs dusted and hoovered this morning before I go to work, I did downstairs yesterday.
Hope everyone has a good day today x9 -
Morning..going over to the clay/pottery place today to see about getting the yarn bowl made, change my mind again, found a type they use in Scottish islands [I think...], basically like a bulbous vase with handles which I like the look of.. better print out a picture of that. 11 rows in [really 22], another 61 to go [really 122] of the Blanket of Doom. Oh well, at least i'm learning to crochet like the clappers...And I must get on with the bee burning onto the chopping board. And get a couple more cards. I'm tired already...I've had the fire on the last few nights because of the cold, and it is so much easier to start with newspaper...I had a load off OHs mum for the compost but I'd forgotten how useful it is in other areas. And that reminds me, I need to chop more kindling. Do you know, I might go back to bed.Izzy, you can do it, and if you slip, well, think of how far you've already come. snoozer, enjoy the mooch, take it easy for a change. Gers, I read doing 'barking' not banking, I did wonder if you'd started a new type of meditational yoga
Coxy, who doesn't love a wriggly pup? cute! And well done on the fund raising. camelot, lets hope they last long enough to do that too. Ruby, thanks for Nels news, it's got to be so dispiriting. Take care all...
