I recently bought a new Lexmark Printer from PC World. You have to buy the USB cable to connect it to your computer separately and in PC World, they cost £14.99. In a shop called Thing Me Bobs near where I live in Suffolk, I bought the same cable for 99p and it works perfectly. So my advice is - shop around!

True, the Pcworld, Currys etc charge a fortune for usb cables and scart cables when you can get the same at a fraction of the price online or some retailors
I tend to buy a few extra when I order from Ebuyer as you never know when you might need one0 -

Like most companies, they loose money or have tight margins on the main Computer stuff and make thier money on the 'extras'.The more I live, the more I learn.

I bought 200 USB Cables... lol! sell some on ebay sometimes, but it worked out at about 20p each 3m usb cable, which is an amazing price in my opinion. The £15 one in PC World is 1.8m, which is shorter, yet more expensive.0

Generally buying them from the big high street store can be more expensive than getting them from your local computer shop or online store. Most high street store stock the big brand names in full retail packaging, but as some of the others have said if you shop around you can get some really good cheap deals especially for a bog standard USB cables - which is all most of us need fromwww.ebay.co.uk.
I got my most recent USB cable from here, you may want to check them out as well.
