Has anyone any recent dealings?
Have received two fines in post for car registered in my name but driven by A. N. Other. Both for going minutes over the two hour time limit (at a gym).
Any way of avoiding these fines ?
Thanks all

If you live here in N. Ireland and the fine was for an "offence" here, just ignore the letters.
They need to confirm who the driver was to issue the fine (unlike in GB). Without that information they cannot enforce the fine. Don't enter into correspondence with them or ring them.
You will get lots of letter and some will mention bailiffs (which we don't have in NI anyway). After a time they will just give up and stop sending them.2 -
Had 3 or 4 come through in work over the last few months. I replied to one of them with the recommended wording from this site and got a letter to say they'd cancelled the fine, the others I've just ignored and nothing's come of it. As snowmen says there's nothing they can do

Thanks all. Have replied using recommended wording. Hope that’s the end.0

Was it the end of it?
