Morning folks.
Yesterday I took myself off into the gloriously sunny, though very chilly, day. I ended up on the Isle of Skye. What a spectacular drive it was.
Now I’m in a wee country hotel half an hour north of Fort William. Very comfortable and old fashioned. 😀 I told my closet friends down south who phoned up the owner to bring me a large glass of wine. 🤣
It’s -3° right now, I’m waiting in bed for the heating to kick in, no electric blanket to help. My breakfast is timed for 7.50 (yes, really) so I’ve got a bit left.

I hope that everyone is doing fine. Happy Sunday to all.

Morning All
Happy Birthday Gers! Hope you're enjoying your road trip.
Cold this morning with a bit of a frost again. Yesterday's clear blue skies didn't last long but it was dry with some sunshine and the washing dried outside so all was not lost!
After swimming yesterday I went to the allotment, the lovely chaps there had put some manure on the beds and are going to dig it over again this week so it will be all ready for me to plant out some much needed veggies in a month or so.
I had a walk down to Aldi later on for supplies, no tomatoes, cucumber or peppers so I'll have to find something else to take for my lunches this week, I usually make up a salad every day.
Sounds like you had a good day yesterday Coxy, love a mushroom risotto.
Glad you enjoyed the Gruffalo dp1.
Hope you're having a good holiday Carolbee.
Swimming again this morning and out with DD and the little one this afternoon.
Have a very peaceful Sunday, hugs to the poorlies. Take care. XX11 -

I remember you mentioning on here once when I was a lurker about Rest and Be Thankful drive which I was looking forward to doing when we went to Loch Lomond a few years ago but they'd had a landslip so it's still to do on a future trip!Have got some ironing to do later and to peel some potatoes for shepherds pie topping for dinner. Footie match for tea!Have a good day all and hugs for the poorlies x12

Good morning, it's a gloomy, damp start here. I'm sure I posted yesterday, but can't see it, I wonder if I've posted on the end of Friday by mistake. One of my nephews and his wife were over last night, we hadn't seen them for ages, so had a really good night catching up.Not a lot going on today, Dh wants to move the shed again, it's not ideally placed now, since we moved it last week. Dh had thought it would be a better place but no, so if the weather stays dry we might play that game of take everything out of the shed and move it.Glad to see Gers and Carolbee have started their holidays, have fun folks.Hope everyone has a good day, take care.11

Hi everyone,
It sounds lovely Gers, if a bit chilly.
We're home, by ourselves for a couple of days. It's very quiet and we're missing the little ones a lot, I'll be really sad when they eventually move out. Steve forgot to switch on the heating remotely so the house was very cold all evening, although we closed the door of the living room which got warm more quickly than the rest of the house.
Today we will be cleaning the house and hopefully going to see Chris, Crystal and Nate. He started on solids yesterday, they sent a picture of him smearing himself in broccoli with a huge grin on his face. Apparently he has a rash this morning so they are talking to 111 about it so we might not see them.
I've got a piece of gammon out of the freezer to have for dinner oh and I've also got to feed my sourdough starter, hopefully it will have survived.
Have a good day.12 -
Moring. Yesterday was a day of eating and crocheting and I watched Military wives and yes, I did a bit of bawling..Today is much the same with some added spaghetti being as I made a sauce yesterday, or a risotto because I bought pork chops. I wasn't sure if OHs friend was staying the night or not so I was prepared. He didn't in the end but I didn't know until much later on. Cats are booked in for a vet visit next week, much hilarity from the receptionists when they discovered what Fattys name was imagining what the vert is going to shout out to the waiting room when it's his turn. Well, we did try various names for him, his original one, no response, and a few others, but he seems to like Fatty, or at least respond to it [probalby the cadence and syllables] so we're not changing it now...Lucky really, he just missed being called Pantaloons by a whisker.Gers, sounds like your birthday is already off to a good start with a cooked for you breakfast! Have a great day! camelot, can't beat a bit of free dug in manure, I salute you! [and thanks for saying about Gers, I wouldn't have known..
] Scarlet, you did post yesterday morning, it's on the thread. Enjoy shed-wrangling today..Izzy, no point saying about Sunday being a day of rest then?
snoozer, enjoy the now with them, think about that after
Take care all, enjoy your day whatever you're doing or not doing...

Morning all it looks like it will be a sun v cloud type of day but my it's sooo cold, I thought we'd seen the back of that. I got lots done yesterday including cleaning the kitchen floor so today I shall be busy doing nothing 😊 There is some beef to cook for tea with roasties, veg and gravy and other than that it will be either web wandering, jigsaw-ing and TV catch up time, or all 3.
Gers happy birthday 🎉🎂🥂, hope you have a fabulous birthday in Skye.
Take care and hugs to anyone in need or felling poorly.
