Halogen bulbs 10 year life, should I change them for LEDs. Too many bulb types, I'm confused!

I see a lot of people are changing older low energy, 10 year life, halogen bulbs for LED ones. Is that a waste? I think the F energy rating is because all LED lightbulbs are low watts compared to normal bulbs so the did a recalibration of the rating. They did it to washing machines as well. We bought a A one and now it’s an E or something. F would still be a good lightbulb if it’s 5 watts.
