When I want to send flowers, I google florists in the recipients home town and (after checking reviews!) ring them direct.

I was going to say the same - find a local florist with good reviews

I used Bloom & Wild when they had a discount on first order. My friend told me that they were lovely and lasted a long time. I see there is a 20% discount, or maybe another reduction if you google it

seem to think they are sent in a letterbox friendly packaging

I have given and recieved M and S flowers a few times  and you can see what you are sending. I find local floorists cn be hit or miss dependent on prosperity of the area dictating the range they carry.

Have used M&S flower service and Waitrose Flowers. But you have to book a couple of days in advance if it's a popular date like Mother's Day! My mum loves M&S.

Bloom and Wild have gone downhill in my view. Arena flowers haven't let me down yet.

Hello, I see you went for M&S, I would recommend them, too.

We've also used Bunches and their flowers are lovely - sent in bud they don't look particularly spectacular at first but they really blossom after a couple of days and last for absolutely ages. Someone sent us some on 17 March and they're only now fading away. It's the second delivery we've had from Bunches, both absolutely gorgeous and long lasting. They sometimes have discount offers, too - I think they all do, at various times.

Hope your Mum is feeling much better - it's always lovely to receive flowers.
