Car finance help!
I bought a car on hp less than two years ago. Its been nothing but a money drain! Within the first three months of having the car, it broke down with a system failure and was without the car for a couple months while it got fixed. Then last year it needed a new clutch and now it's broken down again and I've been advised it needs a new engine among a few other things. This will cost over £3000 to fix and I just don't have that kind of money to fork out. So I really don't know what to do. I contacted the dealership and explained the situation. They were really helpful and did their best to find an option for me but that's a no go. So now I'm stuck without a car and paying the finance. The settlement figure is even more than the cost of repairing the car so can't just pay that off either and be done with it all. Does anyone have any advise or experience with something similar? I really don't know what to do and it's causing so much stress!

A bit more detail needed before anyone can help
Age/make/model/value of car
Where bought from (main dealer/car supermarket/local dealer)
Any warranty ?
Cars do go wrong/break and a new clutch/engine isn't necessarily anyone elses responsibility so you're then into the realms of damage/cost limitation
You could borrow more to fix the car and keep it - or you could get rid as is and then have to pay off the outstanding finance before starting again with a new car0
