Yesterday was a really lovely bright day, blue skies and a gentle breeze. I had my front door open all afternoon. My intentions were so good but then I got stuck with inertia. 😀 The friends I had planned to visit have gone down with Covid which seems to be still around, so that was off.The postie brought my a box of beautiful flowers - those which come semi-open. I was excited to find out who had sent them. The message card read 'Dear Ann...love Karen and Peanut'. 🤷♀️🤔 No idea who any of those people were. My call to the company seemed to confuse the agent for a long time. He found it very difficult to understand that the card had been mispacked not that I had received flowers not meant for me! Eventually the penny dropped for him I was told who had sent them to me. A surreal 15 minutes.
Today will be different, the day looks to be sunny, dry and chilly so I will go out. A little light shopping is possible and I may venture further too. Not sure yet!
Healing thoughts to our poorlies. Happy Saturday to all.13 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, bet you have a fabulous sunrise today.
Chilly this morning but not a cloud in the sky. 2 loads of washing are waiting to go on the line, I did them last night. The bedding from yesterday was dry so it went straight back on the bed, such a lovely fresh smell when I went to bed.
I cracked on with some housework when I got home yesterday, the windows were wide open, bathrooms cleaned and a good hoover round.
Swimming this morning and a trip to the allotment, haven't been since before Christmas so will see what needs doing. Some of the seeds in the kitchen are sprouting, some are not! I was given an amarylis for Christmas that I started off, I think I can see a little shoot from it. It's taken its time to show, they are usually nearly flowering by now.
Hope everyone is well and has a good weekend. Take care. XX12 -

Morning all. Slow start to the day today. Arthritic knee giving me gyp. Had an x ray but I expect it's just wear and tear but boy does it hurt. We shall have to wait and see. The plan for today is strip the bed and put into the wash then make it up again and make a lemon cake and watch the rugby. Phew, am exhausted already ;-)Hope everyone else has a good a day as they can x14

Morning folks and thanks GERS for starting us off. We currently have some blue sky in among white cloud but the forecast is for sleet showers by mid morning. Winter still clinging on.
I have been a busy bee already this morning. A towel and mat wash done and now festooning the back bedroom with dehumidifier and radiator on. Lentil and bacon soup made for my forthcoming lunches and mince defrosting to make a batch of Cottage pie bases later.
Once back from the vets yesterday morning I couldn't be bothered starting the Friday Tidy so it was a bit of a half hearted attempt with just a quick flick round of the duster and a trundle up and down with the vac.
I hope the birthday celebrants enjoyed their birthdays over the last couple of days. Laura's seems to have gone on forever! Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, recovering and MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning Everyone and thank you for starting us off Gers.
Early this morning we had heavy rain, but it's stopped now and is brightening up.
My neighbour is coming round this morning for a chat and to bring me some eggs from her chickens.
I might also go for a walk if the weather stays dry.
Happy Saturday. x

Morning all, it's overcast here so I hope we don't get the darkness and torrential downpour in the afternoon like yesterday, it was coming down in stair rods. In the local news there was also apparently an earthquake (3.8) on the other side of the mountain about midnight, I was just going to bed then but I didn't feel anything.
Another day trying to catch up on some cleaning and the kitchen floor awaits my attention, it didn't get done yesterday as I got distracted looking for some paperwork in a cupboard so I decluttered it, still didn't find what I was originally looking for though 🤔
Take care, hugs to all
nan xx

Morning all
Dry and bright here for now, I have a towel load in the WM which I will hang out for a while today.
DD and I will do the housework today and OH is going to clean the shed of doom ! He has bought himself a load of new tools which are currently in the house as he can’t fit them in the shed, I’ve told him it’s not safe with the clients here so they will have to go in the shed after today !Dinner tonight will be prawn saganaki which DD has offered to cook, I have some of those part baked rolls which we will have with it.
Dogs will get a good walk later and we will continue to look for the missing lady whilst out.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
