Roughly what will the unit rates be for electricity and the standing charges from April? Plus will they be going down in July?

no one can say about july yet. the actual rates are based on the market prices for the 3 months before (so march april and may). but the guess is they will as prices normally drop a bit in the summer anyway.

for april-june the best guess (which is fairly solid as how ofgem work it out is well understood) at the moment is the cornwall institute forecast. the actual ofgem cap is due next week (27th) and the government discount will probably follow by the end of the week.

right now the gov discount (to bring it to 2500) is on the unit rate not the standing charge, and i think the cornwall forcast is also assuming the bulb solr costs arent added to the standing charge (which is most likely but not certain).

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
