I've paid in 42 qualifying years of NIC. I've decided to take early retirement at 63, do I have to carry on paying NIC to get my full pension?

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on your contribution record, contracted out status etc. The easiest way to find out is to check your personal pension forecast on the government gateway0
